The Smile project is an11-story approximately 200,000 sq. ft. T-shaped residential building completed in 2020. AVRO's scope of work includes custom-fabricated unitized curtainwall exterior enclosure systems on all building elevations, plus interior stick-built interior and storefront wall plus gallery skylight systems. Main elevation systems comprise floor-height stainless steel cladding panels supported from custom units varying in geometry to accommodate the gradually curving façade surface. AVRO is the design Engineer of Record for exterior enclosure glazing and cladding support systems on this project.
